The mission of Global Learning Advisers is to help others advance The Great Commission through implementing “technology-enhanced distance learning”.
One way we accomplish our mission is by helping individuals, churches, and parachurch organizations leverage technology to best enable learning about Christ and His Kingdom.
We define learning as a transfer of skills and knowledge. Thus, learning includes both “knowing” and “doing”. Our efforts focus on helping ministry leaders increase their knowledge and use of various technologies so they can better employ distance learning to improve the transfer of skills and knowledge.
Organizations can use several technologies to share information. Using video to share information has become very popular. We encourage using it whenever possible. Sharing information may lead to the “knowing” side of learning. However, organizations will not be sure a transfer of knowledge takes place unless they check for that newfound knowledge. Traditional video alone does not provide that capability.
A primary technology Global Learning Advisers uses is a Learning Management System (LMS). An LMS can serve as a catalyst for the transfer of both skills and knowledge. A feature-rich LMS, such as the one Global Learning Advisers offers, incorporates video and a range of other technologies to ensure a transfer of skills and knowledge occurs. Using such an LMS will better enable organizations to teach and train Biblical principles to Pastors, church leaders and lay people.
